Kumomi

Kumomi is very popular spot for people who are interested in cave diving. There are many dive sites in the bay  that feature caves, and a few on the outside too. The dive boats here are equipped with a life-style exit, which means that three divers can be pulled up at once. Not bad! Not only are the boats are comfortable, the water is exceptionally warm. Thanks to the warm currents moving up the Pacific Ocean, the water can reach 27°C/80.6°F in the summer. Visibility in the summer and the autumn is usually greater than 20 meters (65ft).
One unique feature we call the "Cave of H". Although truth be told, it's more like a underwater maze than a cave. Don't be intimidated; our experts can guide you through here easily. If you're interested in even larger caves, ask us about the giant underwater cave located in Ohushi.

Dive trip Schedules  

    • 06:15 am Meet at the Atami Station exit.
    • *Recommend staying the night before in Atami.
    • 08:30​ am Arrive Dive site.

    All dives are guided.
    ​    There will be an     English speaking PADI instructor on your day trip, (    Dives Staff are speaking Japanese, English, French, and Portuguese) don't worry if you're a solo diver; we can pair you up with a diving buddy or a guide. To make a booking, please fill out the reservation form. You can also contact us get a feel for the program, ask questions, etc. before booking. ​
    Please note: Necessary Items

    • Diver Certification bring it on the day any diving organization (SSI, BSAC, CMAS, NAUI) are also welcome. ​
    • If you book 2days or more we can arrange dive sites in completely different locations each day. 
    • You need to have a good level of experience.  
    • You need to have logged at least over 30 logged dives and hold an Advanced Open Water Diver Mikomoto requires more than 50 dives.
    • You also need to know how to deploy an SMB (DSMB).
    • Towel, Sandals, Swimwear, inner Layers, 
    • Logbook (if you have one) ​
    • Rent wet/dry suit sizes and equipment are limited. If you are over 195 cm tall, heavier than 110 kilos or have feet larger than 30 cm, please contact us.​
    • Participants under the age of 18 need a signature of a parent or guardian.
    • Please complete the payment within 3 days of making a reservation. If the diving schedule is within a week, the payment deadline is the day after the application date. ​
    • You can pay by credit card online, or bank transfer. (Payments cannot be made on the day of the dive. )
