Interested in having a go at scuba diving? Then try the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience. The PADI DSD Experience is a one-day introduction to diving and is available to all those aged 10 years and over. This is a great way to see if you like scuba diving before booking a PADI Open Water Diver course. If it's your first time visiting the Izu Peninsula, it's also a great way to dip your toes into the world of scuba diving and enjoy some sightseeing.

Study at your own speed from home. You should begin your scuba diving adventure with digital learning! you can complete the study portion of the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience, on your computer or tablet any smartphone. With e-learning, you may study from any location. All of the quizzes are available online. You can access the online e-Learning from anywhere at any time. You can select the one that best suits your needs when it comes to learning. Not only that, but you may choose the language you want to study in, making e-learning accessible to everyone. |
Learn the basics of diving.
The contents are kept simple so that anyone can do it! Participants will receive a e-Learning. This teaches you things like how to manage water pressure and other diving skills. With your PADI instructor, you'll have mastered it in no time.
We'll learn how to use the diving equipment, and you'll get to know how to wear the diving gear. Find out how to wear and use each piece of equipment for your first dive. Once you're in the water, the fit of the gear will feel different. We'll ensure you're kitted out properly with equipment that fits you. You only need to bring a swimsuit.

After you're comfortable in the water, we'll gradually start practicing the safety skills. After you've had some practice in the shallows, it's time for your first dive! Your PADI instructor will help you get the hang of equalizing the pressure in your ears, using underwater hand signals, and moving your body underwater.

Ocean Facilities (Izu peninsula） The Discover Diving program will take place at Futo in East Izu Peninsula. The calm water and underwater landscape make it the perfect location for beginners to practice their diving skills. The depth ranges from 5 - 8ｍ, so you will have plenty of space to practice. Outside facilities include: a break room, rest rooms, heated showers, onsen baths, a microwave, hot water, a refrigerator and a vending machine. |

Day trip Schedule
Our PADI Instructor will guide with you. On your diving trip, a PADI instructor who speaks English will be there (Dives Staff are speaking English, French, and Japanese,) If you're a sola diver, don't worry—we can pair you up with a diving buddy. Please complete the form in order to make a reservation. In order to inquire about the program, feel free to contact us, etc., prior to making a reservation. |
Take note:
To take Discover Scuba Diving, you must be at least 10 years old and be able to swim. While not an actual scuba certification, during the DSD experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and understand what it takes to explore the underwater world. There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time! It takes a little getting used to, but after a few minutes, you'll realize how easy scuba diving is. Step 1: During your PADI DSD Experience with East Dive, you'll begin with a short scuba diving training session. In a confined water environment, you will master the 6 key diving skills required to give you confidence and safety when diving. Step 2: With PADI professional dive guide, you will explore the underwater environment and enjoy a dive in shallow waters. |
