Welcome to Diving in Izu Peninsula

Izu is the best choice if you're looking for a dive spot that offers beautiful underwater scenery and wildlife, without having to travel far away from Tokyo. It's a popular spot for divers based in Tokyo and sees lots of visitors on weekends and weekdays throughout the year. Both shore and boat dives are available, as well as transport to a great number of excellent dive sites. We can recommend the best spot for you, based upon your experience level and the ocean conditions. All the guides here at East Dive are licensed PADI Instructors who have multiple years of exploring these dive spots under their belts and are happy to share their local knowledge with you.

HATSUSHIMA/EAST IZU

HATSUSHIMA is an island close to Tokyo that takes about 25 minutes to reach from Atami port. This popular tourist spot is home to about 300 people. In the summertime, countless tourists travel here by ferry to enjoy the local seafood delicacies. However, we would recommend this spot for ant time of year. This is the place for a diver who enjoys travel and island diving.
Futa tune is the main dive point here, and it has a magnificent array of underwater wildlife. As well as the coral and tropical fish, see if you can find the small underwater structure here called "Daiwa House". Also, spot the horse mackerel and yellow striped butter fish that might appear on your plate later in the evening. There's fresh fish available in all the restaurants in the island. Out recommendation is the rice bowl with cuttlefish sashimi. Enjoy diving and Japanese cuisine together!

Izu is the best choice if you're looking for a dive spot that offers beautiful underwater scenery and wildlife, Izu offers a wide variety of fish to observe on the South Pacific coast. Tropical fish arrive on the warm Kuroshio Current. Thousands of species of fish and crustaceans can be seen right before your eyes, but this gallery shows some of them in photos. Our dive staff determines the daily dive points based on the state of the ocean and the ability level of our guests.

10:30 am First dive.

15:00 pm Gear's pack up.
15:20 pm Leave from Dive site.
16:00 pm Arrive at Atami station.

Our PADI Instructor will guide with you.
On your diving trip, a PADI instructor who speaks English will be there (Dives Staff are speaking English, French, and Japanese,) If you're a sola diver, don't worry—we can pair you up with a diving buddy. Please complete the form in order to make a reservation. In order to inquire about the program, feel free to contact us, etc., prior to making a reservation.

Please note: Necessary Items

Diver Certification bring it on the day any diving organization (SSI, BSAC, CMAS, NAUI) are also welcome.
If you book 2days or more we can arrange dive sites in completely different locations each day.

Rent wet/dry suit sizes and equipment are limited. If you are over 195 cm tall, heavier than 110 kilos or have feet larger than 30 cm, please contact us.
Prescription masks are not available for rental. Please contact us to purchase a prescription mask.
Participants under the age of 18 need a signature of a parent or guardian.

Please complete the payment within 3 days of making a reservation. If the diving schedule is within a week, the payment deadline is the day after the application date.
You can pay by credit card online, or bank transfer. (Payments cannot be made on the day of the dive. )

Extra assistance is Before your first dive with a PADI instructor, practice diving in shallow water if you haven't done it much before.
